Meet Dr Samina Luthfa.
Dr Samina Luthfa has many accolades to her name. Being a Commonwealth alumnus, she acquired her DPhil from the highly acclaimed University of Oxford. There she used her knowledge and expertise to work as an Athena Swan Gender Researcher. She assisted several university departments in analysing their gender equality status. Dr Luthfa is currently working as an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Dhaka. She is also a praised researcher, whose notable work reflects upon the socio-economic challenges in Bangladesh. Through her published journals, she advocates for labour rights, environmental justice, women’s justice and more.Moreover, Dr Luthfa was also an actress and a choreographer. She has also been a theatre activist for nearly two decades.
